For Mommy
by tammie renea averyt

For Mommy I would hug the moon
Sing Christmas songs in early June
Catch fireflies to light her way
Grow flowers that bloom for her everyday

For Mommy I would reach the sky
Give her wings so she could fly
Climb high up to the mountain's peak
Give her strength when she feels weak

For Mommy I would catch a star
Hear her wishes from afar
Paint her rainbows high above
Fill her hurting heart with love

For Mommy I'd win every race
Wipe the tears from her sweet face
Place a twinkle in her eyes
Ease the sorrow of her goodbyes

For Mommy I would kiss the sun
Bring peace on earth to everyone
Halt the wars and stop the pain
Replace the storms with gentle rain

Oh, Mommy, how I love you so...
Held in your heart, I'm safe to grow
